Instructions
Making this flavorful, nutrient-packed pizza sauce is super easy, and you’ll love how versatile it is! Here’s how to whip it up in just a few simple steps:
Step 1: Prep Your Veggies
Start by finely chopping your mixed greens. You can do this with a sharp knife, but I love tossing them into the food processor for an ultra-fine texture that blends seamlessly into the sauce—perfect for sneaking in those extra veggies! Set them aside for now.
Step 2: Mix the Base
In a medium-sized bowl, combine:
- 1 can of tomato sauce
- Tomato paste (for a rich, thick texture)
- Oregano, sea salt, garlic (fresh, minced, or powdered), paprika, black pepper, onion powder, basil, and crushed red pepper flakes
Step 3: Add the Greens
Now, stir in your chopped spinach and kale, making sure everything is well combined. The greens will blend right in, adding nutrients without overpowering the flavor.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
That’s it! Your veggie-packed pizza sauce is ready to use. Spread it over homemade pizzas, pizza bread, pizza quesadillas, or even use it as a flavorful dipping sauce. However you enjoy it, this sauce is a simple and delicious way to add more veggies to your meals
