This recipe’s star ingredient, dates, are a powerhouse of nutrients and antioxidants, making it a healthier alternative to traditional caramel. This creamy dip has all the flavor of traditional caramel but without the dairy or refined sugar. Enjoy with your favorite apples, pretzels, or even serve on ice cream!
This recipe really is so simple. With only 3 simple ingredients and a blender you’ll be snacking on the yummy treat in no time. Soak your pitted dates for a minimum for 1 hour. Then, combine dates, 1 can of full fat coconut milk, and maple syrup into a blender. Blend until combined and the consistency of caramel. This usually takes about 3 to 4 minutes. Serve with apple slices, pretzels, graham crackers, or anything your heart desires! Enjoy!
This yummy caramel dip will store for up to a week in the refrigerator.
